All Dual Meets, Invitational's and Championships are run by Officials to ensure that all swimmers are following the USA Swimming Stroke and Turn Rules. Officials take a short two hour class to learn the rules for each stroke, individual medley and relays. There is an additional class to become a Starter for officials who have at least one years experience in officiating stroke and turn. DSA Officials badges are issued for one year periods and must be displayed preferably with a white polo shirt.

This season, 2011 the Delmarva Swim Association will be holding only 4 Officials Clinics for the training of officials. All officials must get retrained this season even if they were trained last season.
The classes for this season are done.
If you are a Current YMCA or US Official, please send a copy of your credentials to Bruce Mooney at least two weeks prior to the start of the Swim Season and he will issue you a Delmarva Swim Association Badge for officiating in our league.
