Scholarship Information

DSA is granting a total of $6000.00 in scholarship monies in 2011 to 6 swimmers for the year. Each scholarship is $1,000.00. |

|
Criteria: |
|
| 1. | Current graduating High School student entering full-time course of study at a recognized post secondary educational institution. |
| 2. | Must have at least a C+ average in Grades 11 and 12. |
| 3. | Must have been an active participant in school and/or community athletic activities demonstrating a high level of skill. |
| 4. | Must have demonstrated school and/or community leadership qualities. |
| 5. | Must have participated as a swimmer in the Delmarva Swim Association for the past four years including the year of application. Medical leave of absence will be accepted with a doctor's note. |

Procedure: |
|
| 1. | Complete the application form. DSA Scholarship Application Form. |
| 2. | Application must include official copies of your High School grade transcripts, a letter of recommendation from one of the applicant's current school teachers and their head swim coach, and a one page essay on how swimming has impacted your life. |
| 3. |
All applications, including letters of recommendation, must be submitted by email as a PDF file to the Current Vice Chairperson (see Executive Board button) |
| 4. |
Selection will be made by the scholarship committee and announced at Championships. |
